Triton binding energy with realistic statistical uncertainties
We compute the binding energy of triton with realistic statistical errors stemming from NN scattering data uncertainties and the deuteron and obtain Et = −7.638(15) MeV. Setting the numerical precision as Enum t 1 keV we obtain the statistical error Estat t = 15(1) keV which is mainly determined by the channels involving relative S waves. This figure reflects the uncertainty of the input NN dat...
متن کاملRelativistic calculation of the triton binding energy and its implications
First results for the triton binding energy obtained from the relativistic spectator or Gross equation are reported. The Dirac structure of the nucleons is taken into account. Numerical results are presented for a family of realistic OBE models with off-shell scalar couplings. It is shown that these off-shell couplings improve both the fits to the two-body data and the predictions for the bindi...
متن کاملOff-shell Nn Potential and Triton Binding Energy
SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS The (nonlocal) Bonn-B potential predicts 8.0 MeV binding energy for the triton (in a charge-dependent 34-channel Faddeev calculation) which is about 0.4 MeV more than the predictions by local NN potentials. We pin down origin and size of the nonlocality in the Bonn potential, in analytic and numeric form. The nonlocality is due to the use of the correct off-shell Feynman...
متن کاملAssessment of Triton Potential Energy
An assessment is made of the dominant features contributing to the triton potential energy, with the objective of understanding qualitatively their origins and sensitivities. Relativistic effects, short-range repulsion, and OPEP dominance are discussed. A determination of the importance of various regions of nucleon-nucleon separation is made numerically.
متن کاملBinding Energy of Λ Hypernuclei from Realistic Y N Interactions
s− and p−wave Λ single–particle energies are obtained for a variety of Λ hyper-nuclei from the relevant self–energy constructed within the framework of a pertur-bative many–body approach. Results are presented for present realistic hyperon– nucleon interactions such as Jülich B and Nijmegen SC models. Effects of the non–locality and energy–dependence of the self–energy on the bound states are i...
